The journey of Chelsea Water from grape to glass starts with family, sun-kissed French terraces, summer and sunshine. Over the past years, I was lucky enough to visit this fascinating region alongside the Mediterranean coast of France and simply fall in love with its history, people and of course, the art of winemaking. Historically speaking, Provence is France’s first, and therefore oldest, a wine-producing region, famed for its rosé wines. For a wine of such apparent simplicity, rosé is one of the hardest to get right, as the slightest mistake can result in a wine that may be coarse and clumsy. And so, my journey begins. Chelsea Water will belong to Côtes de Provence, a fine and structured, five-star rosé with its sunset-in-a-bottle colour that will bring the warmth of summer in our lives through a glass, especially here, in my home country, where sometimes we all miss a bit of sun.
I started learning everything about winemaking, vineyards, viticulture and oenology and the more I learned, the more my passion and vision was shaped into what is today, Chelsea Water.
A French escape, a timeless classic made to please the most discerning of rosé drinkers with its floral richness to match the bright flavours of pears and peaches, making it a great choice all year round. My dream is to create a good wine, easily drinkable, appreciated by the palate of a 20-year-old socialite as well a 45-year-old wine enthusiast.
When you love your job, you never work a day in your life. Making wine is not work, it is a labour of love.
