1.0 Customer problem/Opportunity
Multidrug-resistant organisms including MRSA have become endemic across the Globe. These “Hospital Acquired Infections” (HAI’s) are extremely difficult to treat so prevention is the best action. A 2013 report in the USA showed 722,000 cases of HAI’s in 2011 with 10% of these patients dying while in Hospital. The human and financial costs are enormous.
Patient bathing and cleansing activities have been highlighted as a major source of infection and cross-contamination.
CMC Hygea has created a unique range of antimicrobial products under the PathAguard Brand to tackle this global Infection control problem.
